Position Overview: Our resort, as an independent luxury brand fueled by a collective of diverse and exceptionally talented team members, is seeking a dynamic, innovative, results-oriented leader with an undeniable dual passion for delivering exceptional service and developing people to partner in creating world-renowned hospitality experiences. The ideal candidate will be directly responsible for overseeing and providing strategic leadership on resort to our Beach Club team in the Food & Beverage division. In this role, you will ensure that pool and beach service is focused on providing thoughtful and customized guest experiences that convey luxury. Job responsibilities in this role include: Providing strategic leadership to the Food & Beverage pool and beach team via setting goals and targets and implementing action plans towards ensuring the team is consistently meeting its objectives. Assisting in developing the annual Food & Beverage budget, from a Beach Club perspective, in conjunction with the Director of Food & Beverage. Consistently monitoring and managing actual vs. budgeted targets for compliance with budget. Providing recommendations and supporting documents and reports for capital expenditure, repairs, and maintenance programs for the pool and beach areas. Meeting and keeping current on the pulse of guests to understand and provide meaningful interactions and a highly personalized guest experience that consistently evokes luxury. Managing guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible, assisting with guest inquiries as required and ensuring guest issues are resolved. Ensuring consistent follow up action occurs on all guest related matters and the necessary departments and roles are kept abreast of all developments. Maintaining detailed knowledge of the resort’s facilities, amenities, services to ensure team awareness and comprehensive, accurate information is relayed to team members and guests. Developing and implementing a comprehensive pool & beach service strategy and programs that include the implementation and maintenance luxury service standards and processes that convey a heightened sense of luxury for resort guests. Facilitating payroll processes and overseeing scheduling to ensure adequate coverage is maintained across the pool and beach areas. Ensuring the maintenance of adequate inventory and resources for all pool and beach areas. Assisting in developing and updating the department’s standard operating procedures in line with luxury resort standards. Conducting consistent and documented quality control inspections daily to ensure the maintenance of and adherence to resort standards throughout the pool and beach areas. Empowering employees and building a team that excels in service delivery and execution. Developing and implementing strategies and practices that support team member engagement. Planning and administering on-going training and development programs within the department which will facilitate well-trained team members at all levels and permit advancement for those persons qualified and interested in career development. Experience and Skills: A minimum of three (3) years’ management level experience in Food & Beverage or a similar guest-facing role preferably in a luxury hospitality environment. Tertiary level education preferably in a hospitality related field. Prior luxury, independent hotel experience preferred. Oral and written proficiency in English. Excellent level of written and verbal communication skills is required. High level computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Exceptional critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. Adaptable and able to work well under the pressure of meeting production schedules and timelines. Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
